    THE BOLD RED TENT Georgia Event

    What is a Bold Red Tent?

    A red tent…mothers voices…intimacy…truth.

     

    BOLD's Red Tent event concept is simple: gather women under a "red tent" to listen to mothers' birth stories and then record their stories (in film, written word or visual expression) as part of the BOLD Library of Birth Truths. A BOLD Red Tent event is an excellent opportunity for communities throughout the world to be BOLD any time of the year and will showcase our community's local birth stories.

    Woman of all ages from all over the community with all types of experiences and backgrounds will gather together in a safe, non judgmental, private and empowering space - A Bold Red Tent.

    We will enjoy light refreshments, community building, information, resources and our birth stories together.

     

    What does a Bold Red Tent gathering accomplish?

    When we gather together as a community we are facilitating community building, growth, friendships and understanding of those around us. When we share together the personal and deep feelings we have over something so meaningful as our births in a safe and empowering atmosphere we create an environment for learning about the past and our beliefs, for understanding how much our births meant to us, for growth in understanding how birth has changed over the years and where we are headed as far as options for woman go. Coming together under the Bold Red Tent will facilitate Community, Growth, Healing, Understanding and Empowerment.

    Cost: Free!

    Thank you that is so helpfull! when joining a new forum such as this it does take time to understand the format and rules. I have posted a few times this week. But I know being new I appreciate the offer as I am sure I will have some questions!

    Tough Love vs. Spanking

    I was expecting to see a seriouse post, lol that was pretty funny. I like the one to that I saw smewhere I think it was on facebook that said "Don't spank, no seriously kids carry guns these days" I don't spank and agree with gentle parenting but I have to say these sayings and pictures are pretty funny.

    I saw that it looks great! I will post my before and after as well. I stopped in there a month or so ago and showed them the one I have that needs to be covered and what I wanted over it and they were so sweet and helpful. The drawing I have just needs to be changed a bit so that it will cover nicely. I was supposed to email the picture of both to them so they could play around with it a bit then get back to me on a time to do it but life all of a sudden got really busy. Seeing this thread reinspired me though:-)

  7. Childbirth Classes

    I am Sonya Pailes, I have been teaching childbirth and have been a consultant for fertility, reversals, prgnancy, childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding since 1998. I have recently moved to Paulding County.

     

    I teach many group classes ranging from 2 day to 6 month classes in a comfortable, private home in Dallas, GA.

     

    If you have been looking for a childbirth class or just need a refresher course and would like a class that is empowering, educational, hands on, laid back, fun and informative then I would love to hear from you.

     

    My classes typically cover from early pregnancy through 6 week Postpartum (We cover what to expect early postpartum, breastfeeding and care ofyour newborn) Covering this broad of a range in childbirth class is very rare.

     

    If you would rather skip all of the early pregnancy stuff and all the postpartum stuff and get streight to the birth, comfort measures and tips for your support or helper/s then I have a class for you as well.
