I just finished "The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox" by Maggie O'Ferrell and it was so good.
I had the library order it for me from another branch. Maybe it's still there if you are interested.

We have a concrete front porch that needs to be redone due to pooling of rain water. I would love to have the stamped concrete that looks like flagstone or something.
-
... that did decorative concrete?

Valerie:
I'm so sorry for your loss. I heard about this a few days ago and wanted to send my condolences. Meggan was a very special little girl. You see, I remember her from my girl scout troup many years ago. She was a light back then, very outspoken and a natural born leader.
It breaks my heart that she is gone. May God give you and your family peace.

I just pick up the phone and hold it without speaking. They eventually hang up.

Definately NOT romantic. Sounds like the man is calling the woman plain.

Contact the Paulding Fine Arts Association.
Some of their members have classes.
-
They don't make 'em like they use to.
Dr. Worthy was one of the best.

I wouldn't doubt that the Saints go to the Superbowl!!! Let's see now, what are they? 3-0?

WAS IT A FOOTBALL GAME OR WAS IT A SPIKE LEE INTERVIEW??? I'M SORRY, I THOUGHT I WAS WATCHING A FOOTBALL GAME...... Let's have a Spike Lee kiss @ss-a-thon... GO BUILD A FRECKING LEVEE OR SOMETHING. Yup, I'm sick over the loss and even sicker that they used a MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAME for their personal agenda...
OMG! I thought I was the only one who felt that way. Hubby & I were talking about it last night during the S.L. "interview".
I tuned in to watch some football, not to hear about Katrina (again).
I just turned it off cause I got sick of hearing it.

I don't know if the Fine Arts Association building will be open during the Festival, but if it is, please be sure to go see Frank Sparti's Photograph Exhibit which will be on display all month for October. The reception is October 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 for his photograph exhibit. In the tradition of Wendell Welch, who took photos of downtown Dallas during the 40's and 50's, Frank has taken photos here since 1998. Also, he has many artistic digital photographs which will be on display. Some of the photographs of the First Baptist Church before it burned and after are intense.
The building will be open. So, please check out Frank's exhibit.

Hey, Lowrider.
I work in midtown too, only daylight hours.
I have been to Atlantic Station on my lunch break.
It IS beautiful.
I can't bring myself to stay after work hours, though, just to see it at night.
Maybe Christmas???

I cannot believe it.
Thanks Whitey and Number Cruncher for keeping us informed and all you did to make this happen.
Just goes to show, the "little people" CAN make a difference.

My folks are on their way to the doctor and even though they no longer pay school taxes I asked them to stop by (and they said they would) and vote "NO" on their way back home.
Hubby and I will be voting "No" later on today.

Thank goodness. I'm sorry it's happening to everybody but I'm glad it's not just me...
Try to get customer service for Dish Network. I'd rather have a root canal...
-
I have been using Dish Network for many years and have really enjoyed it. But lately, every time it rains, (and I mean every time) the darn satellite goes out. I noticed this happens ever since they changed satellites at the first of the year.
It is so frustrating that I am considering changing to Comcast.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem with Dish Network?

Now I know you and the Missus aren't back home cause we haven't had a party.

Hey, Pointy. You sure do have good vision!

GREAT GAME!!!!
We recorded it and watched it last night.
The whole team looks good. They all work well together and I'm glad Vick finally has some help.

I cooked curly fries all day Saturday and Sunday.
Our booth was in between "Nattygirl's" fried pickles and "rose's" fried oreos. Last year I tried the pickles so I wanted to try something different; the fried green tomatoes were very good. The fried oreos were awesome also.
I did manage to get away on Sunday afternoon to meet Pubby. I also met Lowrider. It was great meeting both of you.
Next year I'm going to get out more so I can meet more P.commers.
Great weekend!!!

I'll be there.
Right around the Curly Fries....
