I work at that dollar general and it wasnt robbed ...I was told the commotion had to do with an escape prisoner from carroll county .

I work at the dollar general beside new ga church and i was told publix bought the land across the street.

The USA Dollar Store...the one near Fashion Bug is the one that is closing and moving to Alabama. We were there on Friday and everything was 79 cents.

I was told that even if they don't pass it the second time the parent can appeal and there will be a meeting with the teacher ,principal, and parent and that they will then decide whether or not to promote the child. My childrens teacher said if they made good grades and there score was almost passing that they would promote them . I have twins in third grade and one passed and one did'nt , the one that didnt pass has a learning disability and will go on to the fourth grade -however they are still going to make him retake the test. They told me the summer school was optional and they didnt tell me anything about it focusing on test taking skills.I think it is sad that they are putting so much pressure on these little kids .Both of my kids make all a's AND B's on their report cards -but freeze up during standardized tests.

We just heard on the 10 pm Foxx news that a teen girl was killed in an accident on Nebo. The name was withheld until the family was notified.
