  1. For all of us who are safe, dry and free of damage I would like to ask that everyone begin to pray for the rain to end. I am stranded in my home, but am blessed to have no damage. I would like to encourage all you prayer warriors to pray for those with damage, but also begin to Pray that God would stop the rain. God does not go by what is on the radar, he does not listen to the weathermen. Lets all pray that God will prove the weathermen wrong with their prediction of more rain. In His Grip, Bunny

I completely agree with you Bunny !

Elijah was a man just like us, He prayed earnestly that it would not rain and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the Heavens gave rain, and the earth produced it's crops. James 5:17-18

  2. We have eaten there many many times and the food is wonderful, the service is great, the waiters/waitress are friendly and the prices are fantastic ! I love Hai Hai and the owners of this place couldn't be nicer or more helpful.

We have eaten at the other two Japanese steakhouses in Hiram and the newest one is soooooooooo expensive and the service was not good the quality of food was not good, and the other one " T" we'll it has just never been clean enough for me.

And for those who have posted comments of not being able to get past the fact that Hai Hai's use to be a pet store, we'll if you went in there, you would NEVER know ...... that place is the cleanest place I've ever seen and has been each time we have been there.

If you've not been, then check em out, if you have and for whatever reason weren't happy with something, give them another try, they are a new business in the community and all new businesses need our support.

  3. We are victims of this too! They took $450 from us. We haven't eaten there since Nov 30 but the charges just went through on Dec 23.

They got us for $500.00 and it posted to our acct on Christmas Eve ! Go figure, but thank God we got our money back as someone else had stated earlier in their post as well.

  4. Cute, just real cute.  That is about the most heartless thing I have seen posted on here in a long time. Until this morning I enjoyed reading your posts but this one about made me sick.

At least he is still alive and guess what, it was because someone pulled out in front of him that this accident even occurred. Maybe drivers need to be more cautious of their surroundings and we wouldn't hear of these type of accidents.

Coppertop's pop, here is an update:

    A little from www.wcks.com

A motorcycle rider is in serious but stable condition...Reports indicate a vehicle pulled into his path, leading to the accident that resulted in multiple fractures for Hicks. Hicks is a volunteer for the Haralson County Fire Department.

My prayers are with Mickey and his girlfriend as they recover from this accident as well as their families.

I agree with you 100%. We never know who's child this might be or wife or husband and who may be reading these post. The comments were very disrespectful to the families of this couple. Heartless pretty much says it all. Prayers going up for all involved,

  5. Prayers are going up for God to comfort and keep each and every one of the family and friends of this little one.. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and wrap you in the comfort of his loving arms. I pray that peace will fill your hearts even in the midst of the greatest grief of a lifetime. May God hold you especially near to him right now.

God bless this family and keep them in your loving care, for you Jesus have said that you will never leave us or forsake us, and we know that you are very near to this family right now.

What scanner are you speaking about and where do I find it?

  8. You are most welcome.

I too have a testimony. My husband suffered a massive stroke over a year ago and the Neurosurgeons said he would not make it 72 hours. His skull was literally filled with blood. He was in the hospital for 3 and a half weeks with all of the doctors saying that he might recover but he would never be able to be off the ventilator, walk, talk, communicate and be himself again. Then one day, he began to awake… communicate, move, breathe on his on and become his self again. 113 days in the hospital and four months of rehab.

The educated professionals that 2Hot50 referred to had no hope that he would recover at all. My husband had prayer warriors all over the world. Many of them were local church members but our extended family is worldwide. The Chief of Neurology at Grady, Dr. Frankell said that a miracle is all that we could pray for and that we should pray as much and as often as we could. The nurses that were there were so supportive and one very special nurse when I was discouraged about going home and leaving him there overnight said, "I'll pray for him while you sleep, rest well".

The bottom line is we all have the right to have different belief systems. Yours and mine include faith, grace and mercy. Today, my husband is sitting right here beside me recovered at 95%. He has short-term memory loss and a little physical deficit on his left side. God gives us the talent we must choose to use it.

Praise God for your testimony and I encourage you to continue sharing it at every opportunity you get. We must tell of the goodness of God because so many people dismiss the grace, mercy and even MIRACLES like our's as..... " luck" or being in the right place at the right time " etc... We fail to give God the glory for the things he does in our lives and so many never " know" of the love of God. Thanks for sharing that with me and thank you for your post.

  9. I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, but I dont see where there is any GRACE, MERCY, and anything else spiritual. I see that he was lucky he was a a road where higher speeds are harder to obtaine. I see that he was operating a safer built larger vehicle, I see the skill of the Doctor (s) and EMTs and sheriffs Deputies on the scene. If there was true GRACE there wouldnt have been a collision. If there was true mercy, the innocent people he hit would not have been on that road. All I see here is dumb luck, skill of the professionals, and a safe well built vehicle.

I am glad your son is ok, but make no mistake there is no divine intervention

I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into,

Thank you and I hope he never gets into another too

I see the skill of the Doctor (s) and EMTs and sheriffs Deputies on the scene.

If you had read my post carefully you would have seen that the only thing the Emt's performed on him was a " test" to detect the spinal cord fluid in the blood in his ear. There was NO OTHER TREATMENT TO MY SON BY ANYONE OTHER THAN THE CAT/SCAN AND X RAY'S AT THE HOSPITAL...... That's my point there was NO TREATMENT necessary for him..... There was NO spinal cord fluid leaking ANYWHERE when they got him to the hospital. So you see HE WAS HEALED BY GOD BETWEEN THE PHONE CALL to me from the EMT ( when she did the test on scene) and then when my son got to the hospital there was NOTHING.... no type of leakage, no spinal cord fluid found NOTHING....

If there was true GRACE there wouldnt have been a collision.

I want you to understand, we live in a sin filled world where people make bad choices because we have been given a free will, when God made creation he did not create the world to be like this but then SIN entered into it. We also have an enemy ( Satan) who the bible says roams around like a lion " seeking whom he can devour"..... God allows things to happen in our lives sometimes to draw us closer to him, to reveal his power, grace and mercy to us in our lives, to allow testimony's like our's and many others to reach and touch the unsaved those who are lost and dying without hope. Sometimes these things happen so that other's lives will be touched, and truthfully sometimes we don't understand " why" things are allowed to happen. I only know that my son according to those on scene EMT's and Sherrif believed that my son was good as dead, but then by a MIRACLE of God, he walked out of that trama unit that night WITH NO TREATMENT AT ALL by anyone other than scans/x rays..... Expalin that? It wasn't luck, I can assure you.

Throughout your whole post you have used the word " I see or I don't see "

I am glad that everyone is ok in this accident, and hope that this is the last one the boy ever gets into, but I dont see where there is any GRACE, MERCY, and anything else spiritual. I see that he was lucky he was a a road where higher speeds are harder to obtaine. All I see here is dumb luck, skill of the professionals, and a safe well built vehicle.

I want you to know that we have a natural ability to " see" things and then we have a " supernatural ability to see things". I feel you only " see" with your natural eyes, and not with your spiritual eyes. Thoughts and feeling expressed like your's just prove why God sent his only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us..... The soldiers and religious people who crucified Jesus only saw him with their " natural eyes". If they had seen with their spiritual eyes they would have seen they were crucifing the Son Of God. I know you are entitled to your opinion and I respect that, but I want you to know that there is more going on in this life that what you " see" with your physical, natural eyes.

but make no mistake there is no divine intervention

With tear filled eyes I say to you my friend there is no " luck in life" it is all God's hand upon our lives and his grace and mercy that gets dismissed as " dumb luck" or well built vehicles. The enemy has you greatly decieved.

  10. Anyone have a child that has a friend that you just do not care for. They are rude, obnoxious, yells at the younger children in the family. Comments on everything. This child has to be the center of attention. This child wants to fight a child that is about 4 years younger than them just because when this child is around they struggle for the attention. I have HATE my child hanging around them and refuse for them to come over because I do not trust this child. I do not trust the judgement I do not trust them. So my gut feeling is tell my child no more communication. Drop it now. cold turkey. But my child who has so much compassion became friends with this child because no one else would. The clothes would be made fun of and people comment on the way the child smelled. Now my child is so involved that it is claimed they are best friends. I do not let her go to her house but I do not want it here at my house. My child can see the danger and the issues I have but says this other child is a good person.

What are your thoughts on something like this. By the way, they are 14.

Apparently you have raised your child to be a very compassionate person. Your daughter apprently see's something in this child that is " good". As a parent myself I completely understand where you are coming from, and I have great " gut" instincts, sounds like you do too. I think if it were me, knowing that you have already explained your position to your child and she knows how you feel, would stand my ground on her not going to the other child's house, but may take the opportunity to allow the child to come to mine and then use that time to show that child love, and give them POSITIVE attention, when the rude comments are heard by you, use that as an opportunity to " teach" those things that although they may be acceptable in their home, they are not in your's.

With the child coming to your home, you have " control" over the situation are able to watch and be aware of what's going on, who knows you may end up seeing exactly what it is that your child see's in this child. If it doesn't work out then the child will probably tell your daughter that she doesn't want to come over anymore, but atleast if that happens then your child knows you tried to reach out to this other child..

It will take alot of patience on your part and alot of giving, but it would also be a great example of what it means to love the seemingly unlovely. to help other's, and that's always a great thing to show your child. It also lets your child know that you respect her judgement while at the same time keeping control as a parent.

Just a thought hope it helps.

  11. thank you for sharing your story, the faith you have is beautiful....the power of it is awesome....and to know in your heart with no question your outcome was God's mercy, grace and love watching over.........I really appreciate your sharing....I know he will be OK
Yes knowing the power of God's grace, mercy and love for us all and the powerful effect it had in changing the outcome of this situation, still amazes me and keeps me in awe. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt when that phone call was made to me by the perimedic that my son in all probability ( in the natural) was going to die. Everyone that was a witness to this has stated the same thing.... I know in my heart what I know, but because of God's love and mercy he changed the outcome.
Thanks for sharing your personal story with us. It truly was touching. Chris is very lucky to have you in his life. I am so glad that he is okay.
I must say that I disagree with this.... ( big smile) I feel incrediby lucky to have been blessed by God with such an awesome son.
  12. That was absolutley moving. Wiping tears from my eyes. I have a magnet that states- Faith is not knowing that God can; it is believing that He will. You believed that God would and He did. God is just so awesome and prayer is our strongest weapon, what a wonderful testimony for your family and what an awesome calling your son must have. You should maybe write the scripture -- For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power of love and of a sound mind."

I too, along with another poster's response to me am wiping tears from my eyes reading your response to me. As I read through all the post from last night after posting his testimony, I am so moved by how it's touching other's lives and hearts. It's my hearts desire that God recieve all the glory for what HE has done. It's funny because the magnet you are speaking of I also have the same one..... The Bible says that Jesus couldn't do many miracles in " his own hometown" because of their UNBELIEF. That's a power scripture, because it teaches us just how powerful our belief or unbelief can be in our lives and the impact it can have on situations.

I too believe that God has a powerful calling on my son's life, and in time I know God will reveal just what that is. Growing in Christ and our relationship with him is a process and this has taken my son to a new level (spiritually) speaking.

Please continue to share our testimony with all those people in your life as God provides the opportunity. That's the greatest gift ever is knowing that God recieves the glory for it all, that it may lead someone else to believe in the power of prayer, the awesomeness of God and his mercy and grace for us all.

  13. THAT WAS VERY TOUCHING, IT TAKES A LOT FOR ME TO CRY AT THINGS I READ ON PCOM BUT, THIS BROUGHT ME TO TEARS!! I AM GLAD HE IS FINE AND WELL AND WHAT REALY GOT ME WAS THE FACT THAT HE ASKED "MAMA, DID I HURT ANYONE?" HE IS ONE SPECIAL MAN AND MAY GOD ALWAYS BE WITH YOU ALL!! YES, PRAYERS ARE ANSWERED! THEY MIGHT NOT BE EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT ALL THE TIME BUT, GOD KNOWS BEST!!

I am in tears reading your response to me..... It is my hearts desire that God recieve all the glory for what he has done in our lives. Yes, the Ga State Patrol was very moved by the fact that the paremdic said upon her return from dropping him off at the helicopter that the only thing he had said in the ambulance when they were trying to get him to talk to them, was " is everyone alright". The Ga State Patrol said that he was so moved by that, because without even knowing my son, he knew that he must be a special young man.

And he is. ( My son that is) He has always been more concerned with " everyone" else above himself.

His testimony has touched many people, whom we know, don't know, and his friends. That brings my heart such joy to know that because so many times God does not recieve the glory for all the miracles he gives us daily, so many times we dismiss things as " being in the right place at the right time, or as luck, when all along it is the hand of God upon our lives, our children, our situations etc....

Thank you for replying and may God bless and keep you in his care. Please share his story with those around you.

  14. Thanks for sharing your story. Thank you for giving God all the glory too...that was a great testimony. I will continue to pray for your family. God has already blessed you and through your faith he will continue to bless. Thanks again!!

That truly is my sole purpose since the accident is praising God and sharing with everyone/anyone who will listen about the power of prayer. So many times we are a part of a miracle or witness a miracle in our lives or the life of someone else and we fail to share what we were gifted to be a part of or to see. We dismiss it as " luck" or " being in the " right place at the right time", and I firmly believe we need to be sharing the testimony with others. I know that God touched my son from the time of that phone call from the parimedic to the time he walked out of that hospital that night with no injuries other than scratches and bruises. My son was the recepiant of a miracle touch from God himself. Not because my son deserved it ( although he is a great kid, big smile) not because of anything I could do or say or pray, but because of God's mercy and love for us. I just believe that needs to be shared with other's so that God recieves the glory for it all.

  15. I have been in both positions, that of the car accident victim with injuries that cause me to not remember what happened, and that of a mother watching her child get loaded on "Life Flight" and not knowing if she would be alive by the time I made it to the hospital. In both of these terrible situations (two separate accidents), God had his hand on us the whole time.

I am very glad to hear that your son as well as the other accident victims were all fine.

Yes you can totally relate to what I am saying, as a Mom. I Praise God for his mercy and grace.

  16. I am so happy your son is going to be okay and thank you very much for sharing this amazing story with us. The power of prayer is indeed incredible - I will continue to say prayers for your family and son during his recovery.

Thank you, he is fine physically.... As our testimony states he was released that night with no injuries other than a few bruises and a cut on his head which have all healed now..... My concern is that he is still not driving. He has no desire to drive anymore. This to me certainly is not healthy for him. I know that in time, God's timing and when my son feels comfortable he will resume driving but I just don't want the " fear" to paralize him.
