Sheesh, folks. Give the guy a chance in court before you hang him, will ya?
As a former member of a jury where an accused child rapist was cleared of the charges, I can tell you that just because they are accused of something doesn't mean they did anything at all.
Either way, if the media is true about the events of yesterday evening, his ass is going down for something. Even if there was no "sexual contact", he still went along with the 17 yr olds false identity and age. That shows guilt immediatley for something more than simply giving her a ride home.
Aditionally, as mentioned before. He is a teacher, he knows the codes of conduct. For that matter, any individual with a sense of self preservation would know what is and is not an acceptable scenario.
Example:
1) SItting in a parked car with a student, whos parents know EXACTLY who she is with and where -> discussing her performance in class ---> Acceptable (but risky)
2) Sitting in a parked car, at night, alone with a underaged teen who later lies about her identity -> AND you go along with it ---> NOT ACCEPTABLE, and a sign of guilt to some degree.
Sorry, with or without a trial. Some individuals screw up so badly a trial is not needed....it just become stupid.
I feel bad for both his family and the PCBoE...now it has a black mark to deal with. I hate it for both of them.
