To get respect you have to give respect!! The football team and there COACHES don't respect any of the other sports teams at the school or in the county. They will have a tough time in 5A this year.

I grew up in Mobile and am glad you enjoyed your visit to the Battleship. (great pictures)
Alot of the planes were tore up pretty bad during hurricane katrina. The ship was listing on it's side, the hanger was almost gone.
They did a wonderfull job getting it fixed so soon.

You don't need to do anything about it. It is a natural instinct. Some cats grow out of it. Some don't. If you don't want her to suck on things, then just tell her "no" when she starts and take away whatever she was trying to suck on.
Unfortunately, the "patting" motion she makes will stay with her. It's also natural for cats to pat. All three of mine do it at 15, 11, and 8 years old.
My dog was abandoned at birth. He still sucks on his stuffed animals when he is really tired.
I wouldn't worry about it.
