[What to cook....for our Romanian friends?]

We have some friends of ours that are from Romania. He has only been here for about 10 years or so but his wife has lived here alot longer. We have had them over before and I try to cook stuff that they wouldn't normally eat. Last time I made country fried steak w/gravy, broccoli w/cheese sauce, mashed potatoes etc.

 

This time I want something different, I need dinner and dessert ideas, that are "American". I need help with some menu ideas, any suggestions?
