What a turn out. It was awesome to see so many people gathered together to watch these kids.
The national anthem gave me chills with so many playing. It was beautiful.
Did anybody else think "County Wide Marching Band"? How awesome would that be?
Our kids are talented. Great job. Good luck to all, I think they all are GRAND CHAMPIONS!

I have to jump in to this conversation. I want to say that I agree that we need new blood in this position. I'm tired of being taxed rediculously on my property taxes. I hate the not knowing what it will be. I feel this shouldve been decided earlier in the year and not wait to see what monies are or are not coming in. I'm new in following this, and may not completly understand. But I do understand to vote somone out when your tired of what's going on around you. With the insurance rating in our county, my homeowners has gone up again. We still don't have the fire worked out. I don't even have a fire hydrant close enough to my house should there be a need. We have three houses on a 2 inch water line coming off Nebo road which my father in law had to pay for, he only did that because the line kept getting broken. Talking about low water pressure at times. Anyway, I've gotten off track. Someone mentioned trailers and the safety. I hate trailers. Every time I walk in one I get the closed in feeling. Can't breathe, can you imagine some kids and especially after they've sat in one all day long. The storms, it's scary but I do believe they bring the kids in for safety. I just found out the other day that at Dobbins, my son, was being disciplined for talking.....I know I'm not saying it was right but, the teacher put him outside the room on the platform of the door I guess for the whole class period in the winter without his jacket. I only mention this because i just found out he didn't tell me, but a mother was telling me about this poor boy who got in trouble, her daughter was telling her this. If there going to use trailers, they need to have some stiff rules about the uses, if my child had decided to take a walk, could you imagine the wrath that would come down on that place if he had left, as well as on him. Use some common sense.
This may be the wreckless side but unless I know your working for me or I agree with what your telling, if you have a (I) next to your name you won't get my vote.

I also wanted to thank the City of Hiram for the beautiful fire works on Saturday Night. My son and I didn't make the earlier festivities. We had a great time.

I'll admit, I am a Jeff Gordon fan. I am not a fan Jimmie Johnson at all.
I grew up watching Winston Cup with Richard Petty and the others. I loved it. They fault like men and then it was over. The cars were true stock cars, it was about Chevy vs Ford Vs Chrysler Vs Pontiac. It was about having the best shade tree mechanic making those cars run faster than the others. It had nothing to do with templates and trying to make each car equal to the other. It had nothing to do with teams and making deals so they can earn the extra 5 points for leading a lap. It was about driving, repairing and being the one who crosses the finish line first.
I didn't even watch the whole race yesterday, in fact I watched only a few laps. I was sick when Jeff lost the lead in points. He worked very hard this year with his lead to have to hand it off to the turd that he trained. I don't care for Chad either. To me Jeff really is winning the championship. He has been consistent.
I to would like to see some of the others win, anybody but Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth and the Busch brothers.
I've vented, I feel better. I can't say I won't watch racing next year. I'll just watch my favorites.

Hey Everybody!
My husband took the lost dog to Humane Society he doesn't have a chip, he wouldn't leave him. If anybody is interested in him please call me. He needs a good home. We are finding out that he loves to ride in the back of a truck. He loves to swim. He loves being inside. He's been treated very well. He's a lap dog, loves being petted. He's very smart. Please somebody who loves these dogs call me. My Sophia doesn't like sharing her owner with another dog. She bites at him.

This dog is an adult I guess. He is very smart. Someone called the Humane Society yesterday, he must have been swimming between the pond and Lake Ramona so he missed the catcher. Thank heavens. I haven't posted signs yet I had hoped he would find his way home. We're going to make something and post around Waters Rd. How would I know if he had the chip that will tell us who he belongs to?
Thanks for ideas. I pray we find his owners.

Hi, A beautiful Chocolate Lab has taken up with us on Waters Rd in Hiram. Sweet dog. I don't really know what to do with him. I don't have a fence. My dog is very jealous. Neighbors not to happy about him being there. If you've lost a dog please call 770-827-7256. I would love to find his owners.

I'm looking forward to the game tonight. I've got a big loud cowbell. Go HORNETS!!!!!! Usually when we take the bell, guaranteed nobody likes to sit close to us. My brother in law and husband would ring them together. What a noise. It's fun.

First question is Mr Jones the same guy who took a year to decide the sewage drains were not put in the practice field for the band at Hiram???? I have never gotten the name. Anyway. If it is him he isn't playing with a full deck.
Okay, raising money, I have always heard growing up from my father, never vote yes on a bond. It takes years to pay them off or it never gets paid. I did vote the splost, I thought it was a good idea.
My property taxes are already high nearly 1700 for last years I can only imagine what they will be this year. I can barely afford that.......talking about selling I just might have to.
I don't know how Sonny Perdue did it to get his surplus of money but maybe someone like him needs to get into the county and start cutting fat. What was it 527 million?
I don't know about everyone else can only speak for myself, my husbands and my paychecks are not going up the way everything else is, before they start begging for more money from the citizens they need to do some serious thinking. Unfortunately I already live week to week and am not the only ones, I used to think we made pretty good money until now.
Okay, be gentle I'm new at voicing my opinion.

I've got an idea. Why don't they approve a trailer for the police dept office out on the site? It works for the BOE and our kids. Pave a parking lot. That would be better than nothing. They could also build a shed maybe for a firetruck for the area, temporarily of course.
I know it probably sounds silly, it's just a thought.
