Dorris, age 62, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007. He was born on January 24, 1945, in Marietta, to the late Herschel Newton Dorris & Sarah Florence Dorris. Mr. Dorris was the owner/operator of a grading business. He was a member of Corner Baptist Church and a charter fishing boat captain. He is survived by his wife, Susan Diane Godfrey Dorris of Powder Springs; son, David Dorris of Powder Springs; daughters, Polly Hall of Kennesaw and Pam Metscher; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one niece and three nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Ray Huddleston officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements. www.samclarkfuneralhome.com.
