Mrs. Elizabeth Comer Butler Browning, age 97, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2007. She was born on March 13, 1909 in Athens, GA to the late Henry Talley David Comer and Sarah Comer. She was a resident of Columbus, GA for most of her life where she was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, H. Dickie Butler and her second husband, Edwin Browning.

Surviving are her son, Comer D. Butler of Waverly Hall, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Bobby Jackson of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Beth B. Goss and husband, Randall, Kurt Butler and wife, Dawn and Kimberly E. Jackson; great-grandchildren, Samantha and Alexandria Butler.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA with Rev. Daryl Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA is in charge of arrangements.
