Mr. Dale Blair Garner, age 54, of Acworth, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2006. He was born on December 7, 1951 in Atlanta, GA to Lois Blair Garner and the late James William Garner. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Simmons Engineering, Inc. and was a member of West Cobb Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Janice Simmons Garner; a son, Jonathan Merritt Garner of Acworth; a daughter, Erin Blair Garner of Acworth; his mother, Lois Blair Garner of Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. from West Cobb Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Williams officiating. The interment will follow in Cheatham Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Cobb Baptist Church Building Fund, 1255 Friendship Church Rd. SW, Powder Springs, GA 30127 or to your favorite charity. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram is in charge of arrangements.
