Mr. Miguel Marrero, age 75, of Hiram, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2006. He was born on July 12, 1931 in Cuba to the late Gabino Marrero and Consuelo Vincente.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Ernestina C. Diaz; daughters, Maria de Los Angeles Figuera of Havana, Cuba and Marlen Sotomayor and her husband, Frank of Hiram; sisters, Lucila Marrero and Ines Marrero, both of Cuba; 3 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram is in charge of arrangements.

Our prayers are with Senora Ernestina Diaz and Marlen Sotomayor and family. Mr. Marrero fought a long battle but is with the Lord now in a much happier and peaceful place. He will always be in your thoughts and your hearts through memories of time spent together.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Sotomayor, ............know that you do and always will hold a special place in our hearts since the first day we met you when Nick started kindergarten. My prayers are with you.

 

Javier and Alejandro....both of you have grown up to be fine young men and you can know that your grandfather was very proud of each of you and will continue to look out for you both from above..he may be physically gone from this earth but your grandfather will always be in your hearts and when you seek advice or just need to talk to him..just do it.....the answers will come to you..just have faith....
