Pye

Marie E. Pye, age 92, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Orlando, FL, and wife of John J. Pye, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Wellington Place of Kennesaw, GA. A native of PEI, Canada, she came to the United States at the age of 18. During this period she worked in a munitions factory in support of the military. After relocating to Bermuda to work in the resort hotels, she met and married a military soldier, John J. Pye.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, John J. Pye of Atlanta; sons, John Pye and his wife, Edith of Atlanta and Philip Pye of Orlando, FL.

Services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, GA with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. Graveside services will be held on Monday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1925 Century Blvd. Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA in charge of arrangements. 770-445-7133.
