HIRAM, GA 30141 770-445-7133 FAX 770-505-7273 Pirnik Senior Master Sergeant (Ret) George Francis Pirnik, age 83, of Acworth, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. He was born on March 4, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Stefan and Pauline Pirnik. He was a retired Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, serving two tours in World War II, two tours in the Korean War and 1 tour in Vietnam earning two Purple Hearts and numerous other medals. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian Pirnik and his daughter, Catharine Parsons. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Helen “Honey” Pirnik; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Katherine Pirnik of Acworth; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Robert Engenito of Newburgh, N.Y.; a brother, Joseph Piernock of Springfield, PA; 11 grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Dallas, GA with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. The interment will be held in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with a Rosary Service at 7:00 p.m. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA in charge of arrangements.
