Mrs. Anne Whitehead Aiken, age 85, of Dallas, GA passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2006. She was born on July 7, 1920 in Trion, GA to the late Connie Walter and Bunnie Nunn Whitehead. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dallas. Mrs. Aiken was preceded in death by her husband, Vernoy G. Aiken.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Sue Aiken of Smyrna and Jody and Becky Aiken of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Eugenia and Terry Smith of Woodstock; grandchildren, Susan Grier, Jannah Hornbuckle, Mark Smith and Keri Smith; great-grandchildren, Caroline Aiken Grier, Kaylyn Smith, Jordyn Smith and Evan Baggett; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Pastor Gary Huff, Rev. Brad Benson and Rev. Greg Potts officiating. The interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Dallas Building Fund, 168 North Johnston St., Suite 103, Dallas, GA 30132, The American Cancer Society/Relay for Life, 280 Merchants Square, Dallas, GA 30132 or to the March of Dimes, 1775 The Exchange, Suite 510, Atlanta, GA 30339.
