Mrs. Etoy Barnett Goodman Schulte passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2004 at the age of 97 after a brief illness. She was born on October 14, 1906 in New Albany, Mississippi to the late William Thomas and Alice Adelia Hall Barnett. She was retired from Zales Jewelers and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Oak Ridge, TN. Mrs. Schulte was preceded in death by her husbands, Jamie J. Goodman and Edwin C. Schulte and her son, Dr. James B. (Jim) Goodman.

Surviving are her sisters, Tommie Walters of Memphis, TN and Inez Pearson of Gainesville, Missouri; Grandchildren, Tracy Minjauw and her husband, Jacques of Marietta, GA, Leslie Langley and her husband, Danny of Bowdon, GA, Allison Uphold and her husband, Lee of Thomaston, GA and Angela Goodman of Monroe, GA; a step-grandson, John Achter and his wife, Kerri of Hutto, TX; great-grandchildren, Rachel Sleppy, Benjamin Price, Sydney and Sam Uphold; daughter-in-law, Nora W. Goodman of Temple, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA with Dr. Ken Ray officiating. The interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens with Danny Langley, Jacques Minjauw, Lee Uphold, David Barnett, Benjamin Price and John Achter serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jim Goodman Scholarship Foundation in C/O The Paulding Co. Farm Bureau Office, 549 Hardee St. Dallas, Georgia 30132. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA in charge of arrangements.
