Mr. Clyde Estes, age 80, of Hiram, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2006. He was born on October 22, 1925 in Paulding County to the late Mack and Minnie Estes. He was retired from Lockheed after 21 years of service. Mr. Estes was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his son, Nedward Clyde Estes Jr.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Burma Estes; sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Darlene Estes of Hiram and Amos and Peggy Estes of Hiram; daughters and sons-in-law, Furnia Cooper and Lamar McClarty of Hiram and Broxie and William Lindley of Hiram; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from Mars Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Klenneth Montgomery and Reverend Cedric Scott officiating. The body will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. The interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.
