Mrs. Geraldine Smith, age 81, of Powder Springs, GA , passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. She was born on June 11, 1924 in Tallahassee, FL to the late Bert and Katie Merritt.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Celeata Williamson of Powder Springs, GA and Nan Sallas and Donnie Cochran of Powder Springs, GA; a brother, A. J. Merritt of Colquitt, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Zoie and Homer Wright of Bainbridge, GA; grandchildren, April Wetherington of Tallahassee, FL, Robin Miller of Sebring, FL, Chris Sallas of Germany and Nicole Cochran of Powder Springs, GA; great-grandchildren, Elisabeth Miller and Madisyn Sallas.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from New Life Baptist Church in Tallahassee with Pastor Eric Tinsley and Mr. Andy Merritt officiating. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA in charge of arrangements.
