Lankford

Mr. W. T. Lankford, age 88, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2005. He was born on July 13, 1917 in Albertville, AL to the late William and Nora Lankford. He was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and was retired from the auto parts business.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Vennie L. Lankford; daughters and sons-in-law, Katty L. Golden of Dallas, Gladys Gant of Powder Springs, Glenda White and David Slusher of Lithia Springs, Sandra and Ray Childers of Hiram and Cathy Bennett and Larry Williams of Hiram; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Donald Davison of Carrollton, Sue Womack and Bob McLeroy of Kennesaw and Debra and Keith Hales of Dallas; step sons and daughters-in-law, Gene Tant and Bonnie Sanders of Jackson, GA, Wendell and Loretta Tant of Jackson, TN and Johnny and Bonnie Tant of Rockmart; a sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Bob Bowenta of Rockmart; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Reverend Bobby McDowell officiating. The interment will follow in the New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
