Wheeler

Mr. Regan Douglas Wheeler, age 54, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2005. He was born on July 30, 1951 in Rome. He was an inspector for Lockheed-Martin for 21 years and was also an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Wheeler was a member and a Sunday school teacher at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was on the board of directors and a volunteer Chaplain at the Crossroads Prison Ministry. He was a graduate of the Antioch Bible College of Marietta. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul J. Wheeler and his brother, Timothy Wheeler.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Paula Dunagan Wheeler; a son, Matthew, age 26 of Tampa; his daughter, Rachael, age 14 of Dallas; his mother, Virginia Ingram Wheeler of Rome; a sister and brother-in-law, Gayle and Keith Touchstone of Armuchee, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. from Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Lamar Rackley and Reverend David Cooper officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. The interment will be held at 4:30 p.m. from Floyd Memory Gardens in Rome, GA with Johnny Hunter, Jerry Hunter, Warren Stephens, Bryan Ross, Doyce Powell, Rick Parker and Loyle Watkins serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Clark Funeral Home in Hiram. Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements, 770-445-7133.
