Dura “Margene” Harris, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2018. She as born on December 18, 1939, in Dallas, GA, to the late James “Louie” & Ella Estelle Holland, and was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Jones; son, Keith “Spanky” Strickland; and companion, Ross Meade. Margene worked as a welder for Dico Incorporated for many years and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Survivors include brother, James B. “Buck” (Bertie) Holland of Dallas, GA; sister, Glenda Lindsey of Rockmart, GA; granddaughter, Jennifer Strickland; great-grandson, Kalob Slater; niece, Amanda (Mike) Graves; nephews, Randall (Kirsten) Holland, and Mike Lindsey; several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 30, 2018, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Todd Tibbitts, Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts and Reverend Hershel Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery. Mike Lindsey, Mike Graves, Nick Holland, Slayton Holland, Jackson Walker, and William Moore will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 29, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
