Sandra Carruth Monk, age 76, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. She was born on May 14, 1942, in Dallas, GA, to the late John Columbus & Josie Carruth, and was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Boyd Monk, Sr., brother, William Alton “Al” Carruth, father-in-law, S.L. “Shag” Monk, and great-grandson, Woodrow McCall Ridings. Mrs. Monk worked as a bookkeeper for PK Oil Company for 25 years and was a member of Greater Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Peggy (Loran) Wills of Dallas, GA; daughter, Lisa (Robbie) Dobson of Dallas, GA; son, Boyd (Lee Kaylor) Monk, Jr., of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Lee (Jordan) Ridings and Shane Ridings; six great-grandchildren, mother-in-law, Ruth Ferguson Monk of Dallas, GA; several nieces and nephews; several brother and sister-in-laws.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Ridings, Elder Loren Wills and Mr. Shane Ridings officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Robbie Dobson, Lee Kaylor, Wayne Benson, John Hardin, Terry Monk and Keith Lee will serve as pallbearers. Wayne Fennell, Sype Thomason, Floyd Benson, Bill Chandler and Keith Morgan will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 2, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
