William Rex Jones, age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1947, in Corning, NY, to the late Alton & Doris Jones, and was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford A. Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Acworth United Methodist Church and worked as a pattern maker for Ingersoll-Rand for 22 years. Bill taught heavy equipment and conservation at G.ST. Boces in Coopers Plaines, N.Y. He was a member of the Painted Post New York Fire Department for 40 years serving a total of 48 years in the fire service. Mr. Jones was a Sergeant in the United States Army Corp of Engineers serving in the Vietnam War.

Survivors include wife of 49 years, Caroline E. Jones of Dallas, GA; son, Jason R. & Melissa Jones of Dallas, GA; sister, Dorothy & Chuck McConnell of Brooksville, FL; grandchildren Lauren A. Jones and Liam R. Jones; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and their spouses.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend James Gwinn officiating. Interment will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018, at 10:30 AM, from GA National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 1 PM until the time of service
