Clark Funeral Home Posted August 13, 2018 Report Share Posted August 13, 2018 Carla Scoggins Brown, age 56, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born on May 20, 1962, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Carl & Wilma Scoggins Jr. Carla retired from Paulding County School System as a bus driver where she worked 25 years and was a member of Pumpkinvine Baptist Church. She loved the beach, cooking and crafts. Carla loved being with her friends and considered them as family. She was always taking care of everyone else. Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Reece Brown of Dallas, GA; children, Natalie & Stephen Albright of Carrollton, GA, Shanna Prather of Blairsville, GA, and Matthew Brown of Canton, GA; brothers, Bill & Ann Scoggins of Dallas, GA, and Tommy & Marilyn Scoggins of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Hunter Albright, Audrey Albright, Zach & Alex Prather and Luke Prather; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Brad Benson and Reverend Joey Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. Gary Gulledge, Jeff Lee, Gene Pace, Robby Dodson, lee Hurley, Dennis McCoy, Otis Bone, Mark Shipp, and Terry Freeman will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, from 4 PM until PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Paulding Enterprises, Inc, 110 Stadium Drive, Dallas, GA, in memory of Carla Scoggins Brown.
