Clark Funeral Home Posted May 24, 2018 Report Share Posted May 24, 2018 W. James Cook, age 46, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born on September 5, 1971, in Austell, GA, and was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Cook. Mr. Cook was a youth pastor at New Canaan Baptist Church for 13 years and currently the youth pastor for Crossview Community Church for the past two years. James also worked at Tanner Health Systems where he worked as lead chef in the nutritional services. He was a Georgia Bull Dog and Jeff Gordon fan. His heart and passion was working with youth as a youth pastor.Survivors include his father, William Drewery Cook; sisters, Stacy & Jerome Flemister of Dallas, GA, Stephanie Cook of Rockmart, GA, and Jamie & Jeremy Patterson of Dallas, GA; nieces and nephews, Rishona Whaley, Devin Watts, Kameron Watts, Tamia Flemister, and Brendon Patterson; great-nieces and nephews, Brielle Whaley & Iziah Whaley; many loved extended family.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 3 PM, from Crossview Community Church in Rockmart, GA, with Pastor Danny Echols and Pastor James H. Cook, JR officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 2 PM until 3 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2018. Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church.
