Clark Funeral Home Posted March 20, 2018 Report Share Posted March 20, 2018 Margie Shipp Rainey, age 89, of Dallas, GA, passed away on March 19, 2018. She was born on August 13, 1928, in Dallas, GA, to the late William & Myrtis Gamel, and was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rob Murphy and grandson, Matthew Murphy. Mrs. Rainey retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken as a manager with 42 years of service and was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. Survivors include husband of 50 years, Owen Rainey of Dallas, GA; children, Linda & Douglas Womack of Dallas, GA, Randy & Patricia Shipp of Dallas, GA, Ricky & Cathy Shipp of Villa Rica, GA, and Debbie Murphy of Jacksonville, FL, sister, Diane & Earl England of Hiram, GA; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Mr. Eddie Gurley officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Joe Hogue, Danny Gamel, Bryce Womack, Brent Womack, Brad Shipp and Barry Shipp will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 4 PM until 8 PM. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
