Geneva Emory, age 87, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017. She was born on May 14, 1930 to the late Howard and Stella Smith. She retired from Lockheed as a blueprint technician after 15 years and was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Emory, her parents, her brothers; Edwin Smith, Coy Smith, Leon Smith, her brother-in- law, Roy Overton and her grandson, Jacob Paris.

 

Survivors include her son, Barry (Faye) Emory of Dallas, GA., her daughter, Phyllis (Larry) Paris of Hiram, GA., her brother, Roger (Brenda) Smith of Hiram, GA., her sister, Betty Overton of Rockmart, GA., her grandchildren; Hannah (Travis) Barber, Brooks (Heather) Emory, Brittany (Justin) Riley, her great grandchildren; Emory Walton and Kori Riley. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by her.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Geneva Emory will be held on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rodney Coleston officiating. Interment will follow at Powder Springs City Cemetery with the following gentleman serving as pallbearers; Adonis Vaughn, Daniel Dickerson, John Hagler, Travis Barber, Randy Moore and Brooks Emory. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
