Amy Mayfield, age 75, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born on January 5, 1942, to the late James Akins and Georgia Turner, and was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Mayfield, sisters, Nancy Poole and Delle Turner. Mrs. Mayfield worked in the kitchen at Wellstar for several years and was a member of High Shoals Baptist Church. She loved her church, music, NASCAR racing, and dancing.

Survivors include her son, Mark & Phyliss Mayfield of Blue Ridge, GA; daughter, Carla & Mike Upton of Rockmart, GA; sisters, Audrey & John Jones of Rockmart, Margaret & Clayton Myre of Rainbow City, AL, and Jennifer & Judson Childers of Rockmart, GA; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Jason Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 7, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
