Clark Funeral Home Posted July 5, 2017 Report Share Posted July 5, 2017 (edited) Joan Bagby McClain, age 69, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was born on December 21, 1947, in Dallas, GA, and was preceded in death by her father, John E. Bagby, husband, Lawrence “Butch” McClain, and sister, Patricia Bagby Matthews. Mrs. McClain worked as a continuing education coordinator for over 30 years at Chattahoochee Technical College. Survivors include her son, Marc McClain & Rose Lobello of Kennesaw, GA; mother, Margaret Hutcheson Bagby of Dallas, GA; brother, Joel P. Bagby of Dallas, GA; Emily Long, who was like a daughter to her; Aiden Long who was like a grandson to her; and her 50 year BFF, Hettie Sapree. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home with Cindy Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paulding County Human Society, P.O. Box 674 Dallas, GA 30132. Vicky Davis Posted July 7, 2017 Report Share Posted July 7, 2017 My condolences to this family, especially to Emily, who I know revered Joan as a mother.
