Evelyn “Missy” McDermott, age 89, of Hiram, GA , passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017. She was born on February 15, 1928, in Manhattan, NY, to the late Luke & Catherine Butterfield, and was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Warren McDermott, SR, brother, Mark Butterfield, SR, and nephew, Mark Butterfield, JR. Mrs. McDermott worked in jewelry sales for 20 years and was a member of ST. Luke’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include son, Edward & Vicki McDermott, JR, of Whitestone, NY; daughters, Susan Moore of Alpharetta, GA, Marilyn Walker of Hiram, GA, and Roxann McDermott of South Carolina; brother, Luke & Joyce Butterfield of New York; sister, Cathy Fahey of Treasure Island, FL; grandchildren, Jackie Walker of Atlanta, GA, Luke Walker of Hiram, GA, and Gina Manley; great-grandchildren, Ryan Manley and Jennifer Manley, and her dear friend, Tracy Roberrs of Hiram, GA

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. Entombment will follow in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
