Clark Funeral Home Posted March 27, 2017 Report Share Posted March 27, 2017 Harold Clay, age 85, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born on December 12, 1931, in Dallas, GA, to the late Arthur Wade & Alma Irene Clay. Mr. Clay was a member of First Baptist Church of Dallas and retired from Lockheed-Martin as a supervisor after 37 years. He enjoyed working with the Youth of Paulding County in football and the Boy Scouts. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Martha Sue Clay of Rockmart, GA; sons, Andy & Donna Clay of Dallas, GA, and Art & Darlene Clay of Rockmart, GA; sisters, Joyce Gaddis of Dacula, GA, and Alma Jean Clay of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Christy & Shane Cochran, Mandy & Howell Thomason, Travis & Tracy Clay, Leslie & Mark Winters, and Natalie Clay & Fiancé Kenneth Shirley; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Thomas Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas City Cemetery. Shane Cochran, Howell Thomason, Travis Clay, Mark Winters, Kenneth Shirley and Allen Clay will serve as pallbearers. Jimmy Ragsdale and Bill Matthews will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
