Clark Funeral Home Posted March 1, 2017 Report Share Posted March 1, 2017 William Earl Gilreath, age 82, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. He was born on September 18, 1934, in Jacksonville, AL, to the late Shelton LaFayette & Nancy Jane Gilreath. Mr. Gilreath retired from Chattahoochee Brick for 38 years, and was a member of Draketown Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mary Gilreath; sons, Franklin A & Donna Gilreath of Powder Springs, GA, and Steven C & Betty Gilreath of Rockmart, GA; daughters, Donna Sue Whitfield of Temple, GA, and Lori &Patrick Schroeder of Temple, GA; grandchildren, Cory Gilreath, Krissy & Brett Matthews, Brittany Gilreath, Chanda & Eddy Brewer, Mallory Whitfield, Dylan Whitfield, Blake Wellborn, Jacob Schroeder, Grayson Schroeder, Jill & Wes Smith, and Michelle & Craig Fernander; eleven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Gilreath officiating. Interment will follow in Mozley Memorial Gardens. Tony Fain, Dylan Whitfield, Blake Wellborn, Cory Gilreath, Mike Whitfield and Chip Mitchell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
