Mr. Gary Dean Franks, age 58, of Dallas passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.

 

Gary was born on March 21, 1958 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to loving parents, Mrs. Gwendolyn Lance Franks and the late Mr. Edward Franks. A Veteran, Gary served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for many years as a construction worker. He was of the Christian faith.

 

In addition to his father, Gary is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Franks.

 

Gary is survived by his two sons, Dylan Franks of Dallas and Ryan and MaryAnne Franks of Fort Belvore, Virginia; 5 grandchildren; Mother, Gwendolyn Lance Franks of Dallas; 1 brother, Tim Franks of Austell and 3 sisters, Jan Dispain and her husband, Mike, of Lawrenceville, Kay Hudgins and her husband, Melvin, of Snellville, and Gail Mulford and her husband, Kent, of Blairsville; and girlfriend, Shelly Seamans of Dallas. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

Per his wishes, Gary will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
