Anne Gupton, age 72, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016. She was born on March 29, 1944, in Athens, GA, to the late Albert & Virginia Parsons. Mrs. Gupton worked as a dance instructor for 17 years and was a member of Carrollton Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed volunteer reading at elementary schools.

Survivors include her husband, Thelbert Gupton, of Douglasville, GA; daughters, Melissa & Jeff Rowell of Douglasville, GA, and Claire Bailey of Chesnee, SC; sisters, Beverly Whisnant of Raleigh, NC, and Susan Davis of Kempner, TX; grandchildren, Katie Martin, Rebecca Martin, Benjamin Martin, Sarah Bailey, Tiffany Bishop and Bear Rowell; six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 11 AM from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Ken Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. Steve Gupton, Gunter Hirschler, Benjamin D. Martin, Alan Phrommala, Ernesto Sandoval, and Blake Zimmerman will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
