bensonfh Posted September 13, 2016 Report Share Posted September 13, 2016 A Memorial Service for Mr. Charlie Carruth age 70 of Dallas, Ga. will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 at 6:00 PM from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday Sept. 15, 2016 from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Mr. Carruth was born on September 7, 1946 in Paulding County to the late Mr. & Mrs. Isom Hubert (Annie Beatrice Thomason) Carruth. He grew up in the Burnt Hickory Community of Paulding county. Mr. Carruth was married for 51 years to the love of his life Gail Osborne Carruth. He was a graduate of Dallas High School Class of 1965. Charlie was a Veteran of the U.S. National Guard. He worked as a Master Electrician in Paulding and Bartow counties for many years and was a very hard worker. He was a family man and loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved to travel and see many different sites and loved working with wood. He loved being outside doing work and going camping. Charlie was a soft spoken person and a friend to many. He will be deeply missed in the Burnt Hickory community. Survivors Include: Wife: Mrs. Gail Carruth of Dallas, Ga. Daughter: Mr. & Mrs. Tim (Kelly Carruth) Cox of Cartersville, Ga. Son: Mr. & Mrs. Ken (Amy) Carruth of Dallas, Ga. Grandchildren: Katie Cox, Brittney Cox, Ryan Carruth and Addie Carruth Sisters: Mrs. Jean Perkins of Cartersville, Ga. Mrs. Patsy Wilson of Dallas, Ga. Brother: Mr. Carroll Carruth of Cartersville, Ga.
