Beaty, age 73, of Dallas, GA, has passed away at her residence and was welcomed into the Heavenly arms of our Lord on Wednesday afternoon, August 17, 2016. Nancy was born in Atlanta GA, on April 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph Harris Morgan, III, and Marcelle A. Hinkle Morgan. She had been a resident of Dallas and Paulding County for the greater part of her life. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Dallas. Nancy, along with her husband, W. Brooks Beaty, was the owner and operator of Brothers Tire Company for many years. She was also owner of Fancy Nancy’s Boutique and a past officer in the PC Chamber of Commerce. Nancy was a smart businesswoman, an accomplished artist, loved photography and was a lover of animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brooks Beaty, on August 25, 1980, whom she married in February of 1970. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters, Linda Jo Morgan and Susan Caroline Morgan, and a brother, William Dedrick Gercken. Nancy’s spirit lives on through her two daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa and Jim Swantek of Canton, GA, and Carey Ninette Beaty of Douglasville, GA; and one son and daughter-in-law, Troy Morgan Beaty and wife, Nancy of Rockmart, GA; five grandchildren, Kristopher W. B. Key and wife, Lindsey of Smyrna, Diana Brooke Swantek, also of Smyrna, Justin Matthew Swantek, Mary Alise Swantek and Julianne Morgan Swantek; one great-grandson, Brooks Harris Key and one great-grandson-to-be, Tristan Ryan Shearer; one sister, Marcella (Cindy) Prater and her husband David, of Panama City Beach, FL; a sister-in-law, Dawn Shorr Gercken of Birmingham, AL; nieces, Hilary Weston, Rebecca Gercken and Amy Prater; nephews, William, Robert, and John Gercken and Eric Prater. Several grand nephews and nieces also survive. Nancy, also known as Mema, Momma, Mom, and Big Sister, had a beautiful sense of humor, was very generous, and cared deeply for her family and Yorkie puppies. She had an unforgettable will and determination to push through all of life’s difficulties. She was one who never gave up on anyone or anything, and her courage and strength will live on in all of her family members. Nancy may have left our Earth, but she is now happily reunited with those she loved so dearly, and with great joy watches over her precious family. A private graveside funeral service for Nancy was held on Friday afternoon, August 19, 2016, in the Forsyth City Cemetery, Forsyth, GA. The staff of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mrs. Nancy M. Beaty. Matt 28:20 "I am with you always, until the end of the age."
