Mr. Robert Lee Rogers, Jr., age 84, of Dallas passed away at Southern Traditions Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Friday, August 5, 2016.

 

Robert was born on January 18, 1932 in Dallas to loving parents, the late Mr. Robert L. Rogers, Sr. and Mrs. Vinnie Mae Pace Rogers. Robert worked as an aerospace engineer for Lockheed for many years and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the mountains.

 

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lucille Blair Rogers, 1 daughter, Mrs. Tammy Bell, brother, Harold Rogers, cousin, Marty Rogers, and his nephew, Mike Rogers.

 

Robert is survived by one grandson, Blake Bell of Dallas; son in law, Gene Bell and two nieces Sherry Rogers and Lisa Rogers all of Dallas.

 

The funeral service for Robert will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 with Rev. Mike Wheeler officiating. Gene Bell and Hank Blair will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 4-9 PM.
