Johnny R. Manning, age 85, went home to dwell in the glory of God on Sunday, July 31, 2016. He served as an Elder of the Westside Christian Church. He retired from Norfolk Southern after 38 years of service. Johnny was a native of Dallas, GA, and is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lynn Reeves Manning.

 

Survivors include his children, Wayne (Donna) Manning of Branchville, SC, Myra (Bud) Horton, Murray (Susan) Manning and Mariece (Joel) Wills, all of Dallas, GA; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

A memorial service will be held at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 3:00 PM. Minister Larry Musick and Minister Gene Morehouse will be officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home from 2-3 PM.
