Dale W. Slate-Chambers, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away on August 3, 2016. She was born on February 14, 1938, in Ranger, GA, to the late Otis & Flarie Belle West, and was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Chambers. Mrs. Chambers retired from Atlantic Steel, where she worked as a Worker’s Compensation Coordinator for 48 years.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Candy & Kevin McAdams of Buchanan, GA; stepchildren, Matthew Chambers of Dallas, GA, and Carla Chambers Prater of Dallas, GA; brothers, Daniel & Doris West of Cartersville, GA, David & Cathy West of Douglasville, GA, Arvin & Dorothy West of Fairmount, GA, and Max & Wilma West of Jasper, GA; sisters, Doris Jackson of Athens, and Sarah Mulkey of Fairmount, GA; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Kevin McAdams officiating. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 6, 2016, from 10 AM until the time of service.
