Clara Jo "Lewis" Moore - June 19, 1947 - July 26, 2016

Mrs. Clara Jo “Lewis” Moore, age 69, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday morning, July 26, 2016, following a lengthy illness.

 

Mrs. Moore was born in Austell, GA, on June 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Thad Felton Lewis and Tennie Etta Hite Lewis. Prior to her illness she was associated with West Cobb Building Supply. Mrs. Moore was a faithful member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and loved going to the mountains, cooking, walking and being with her dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Clarence Lewis, Christine Pittman and Carl Lewis.

 

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Joseph A. Moore, whom she married on July 1, 1994; one daughter, Lisa Clark of Cartersville, GA; one son, Johnny Griffith of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Joshua Griffith, Tyler Clark, Brittany Griffith and Tiffany Clark; five siblings, Catherine Verhine, Clifford Lewis, Claudia May Garrett, Charles Lewis and Carolyn Pauley.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Moore will be held on Thursday afternoon, July 28, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. in the Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Turner and Rev. David Chaffin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home.
