Funeral Services for Mr. Thomas Frank Carter age 82 of Dallas, Ga. will be held on Saturday June 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Powell and Rev. Jimmy Tibbitts officiating.

Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Todd Tibbitts and Rev. Mike Powell officiating.

Mr. Carter's family will be receiving friends on Friday June 3, 2016 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Mr. Carter loved country gospel music and was a member of the Country Gospel Trio for over 25 years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy and served on the USS Tarawa. Mr. Carter was a member of Dallas Lodge #182 F & A.M. He was a loving husband, dad and granddad.

Wife of 58+ years: Mrs. Patsy Shelton Carter of Dallas, Ga.

Son: Mr. Jeff Carter of Dallas, Ga.

Son: Mr. Greg Carter of Dallas, Ga.

Grandchildren: Maria Carter, Clay Carter, David Carter and Heather Wilkes

Brother: Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Swannie) Carter of Douglasville, Ga.

Step Sister: Mrs. Gloria Rakestraw of Dallas, Ga.

I am sorry to hear this, it has not been very long ago that I saw Mr. Carter. He was a nice man, and very humble. His wife is also a sweetheart. Condolences to the family.
