Vanessa Mardelle Owens, age 25, of Hiram, GA, passed away on March 11, 2016. She was born on August 24, 1990, in Decatur, GA, to Denise Hitzfield & Robert Owens. Vanessa was a member at West Ridge Church.

 

Survivors include her mother, Denise Hitzfield of Ft. Wayne, IN; father & step-mother, Robert & Tami Owens of Hiram, GA; sister, Amanda Farmer of Kennesaw, GA; step-brother, Shay Stephens of Effingham, SC; step-sister, Shanna Stephens; grandparents, A. Larry & Carol Hitzfield of Roanoke, IN; step-grandparents, Mal & Dean Rowell of Douglasville, GA; aunts & uncles; many cousins; nieces & nephews.

 

A memorial service for Vanessa will be held on Monday, March 14, 2016, at 11:00 AM, from West Ridge Church, with Pastor Steve Veale officiating.

 

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, March 13, 2016, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of Vanessa Owens.
