Mrs. Edna Imogene Busby Walker, age 79, of Douglasville passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospital in Austell, GA.

 

Edna was born on August 10, 1936 in Fort Payne, AL to loving parents, the late Mr. John Henry Busby and Mrs. Eva Isom Busby. Edna worked in the upholstery industry for many years. She enjoyed cooking, canning, photography and gardening. A Christian, she was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and served the Lord faithfully in her lifetime. Edna will always be remembered for her caring nature and how she was always willing to help others in need.

 

In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Max Walker who passed away in May 2014.

 

Edna is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Diann (C.L.) Powers and Ms. Teresa Walker both of Rockmart; 1 son, Mr. Clifton Max Walker of Douglasville; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; 1 brother, Mr. W.J. Busby of Fort Payne, AL, and several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

The funeral service for Mrs. Edna Imogene Busby Walker will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 3 PM at Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. C.L Powers and Rev. Scott Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. Jason Walker, Bryan Mauldin, Joshua Crocker, Taylor Hornbuckle, Tim Hornbuckle, and Cory Mauldin will serve as pallbearers and Jeremy Trout will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 5-9 PM and on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 11 AM until we leave in procession for the church at 2:30 PM.
