Funeral Director Posted February 1, 2016 Report Share Posted February 1, 2016 Mrs. Willa Jean Solley Appleton, age 86, of Dallas passed away at Wellstar Paulding Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Willa was born on January 20, 1930 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania to loving parents, the late Mr. Roscoe Foster Solley and Mrs. Reva Leam Solley. Willa worked as a delivery driver transporting leased vehicles for many years. She was of the Quaker faith and in her spare time she enjoyed reading and gardening. In addition to her parents, Willa is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Ivan Appleton and 1 daughter, Ms. Toni Appleton. Willa is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Canfield and her fiancé Dave of Lanse, PA, Mrs. Wava (Ken) Temples of Cartersville, GA, Mrs. Patti (Steve) Novak of Horseshoe Beach, FL, and Mrs. Gail (Benny) Long of Rockmart, GA; 5 grandchildren, Vicky, Sherry, Jereme, Joshua, and Brandi; 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and 1 brother Gale David Solley of New Galilee, PA. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive. Per her wishes, Willa will be cremated and the family is planning a memorial service in Pennsylvania this Spring.
