Mrs. Frances A. Prather Henson, age 84, of Cobb County passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her residence.

Frances was born on June 6, 1931 in Aragon, Georgia to loving parents, the late Mr. Raymond Prather and Mrs. Etta Thompson Prather. Frances worked for many years at Peco, Inc. where she webbed aluminum chairs. A Christian, Frances loved the Lord and her church. She was a proud and faithful member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and to her church family.

In addition to her parents, Frances is preceded in death by 1 son, Eugene Henson and 1 sister, Effie Mae Henson.

Frances is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Mr. Jesse Ottis Henson of Clarkdale, GA; 1 daughter, Karen Henson of Clarkdale, GA; 2 Grandsons, Jock Henson of Clarkdale, GA and Robton Crow of Dallas; 1 great granddaughter, Zoie Crow of New York, and 1 sister, Mary Jane (Virgil) Tibbitts of Rockmart. In addition, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Frances A. Prather Henson will be held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Archie Streetman, Rev. Charles Sutton, Rev. Tim Deems, and Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Jock Henson, Robton Crow, Zachery Kirby, Olin Streetman, David Sloman, and Everette Sutton will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4 PM-9 PM and on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 9 AM until we leave in procession for the church at 1:30 PM.
