Emil Enzo Gregin - June 9, 1948 - December 8, 2015

Mr. Emil E. Gregin, age 67, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at his residence.

 

Emil was born in Scerni, Italy, on June 9, 1948, the son of the late Filippo Greghini and Giovanna Forgione Greghini. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served in the United States Army. Emil was a pizza baker at King of Pizza in New Jersey and was eventually promoted to manager of the restaurant. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing poker, playing the slot machines and the lottery, was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Emil was of the Catholic faith. In addition to his parents, Emil was preceded in death by two brothers, Garry Gregin and Augie Gregin, and a grandson, Phillip Gregin, Jr.

 

Emil is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nancy Wainer Gregin; four children, Amy Gregin and Eric Gregin, both of Dallas, Michael Gregin of Eureka, CA, and Phillip Gregin and his fiancé, Jessica Simpson, of Lithia Springs, GA; three grandsons, Shane Gregin and Lucas Gregin, both of Philadelphia, and Jaden Kaushal, of Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law, Perrie and Angela Gregin of Huntington Valley, PA; two sisters, Antoinette Petracia and Iole Lopergolo, both of Philadelphia; a sister-in-law, Margie Kerbeck, of Thousand Oaks, CA; nieces and nephews, Susan (Miles) and Jessica Beech, Robert, (Gardia), and Davis Kerbeck, David (Amy) Madison, Ryan and Max Kerbeck. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends also survive.

 

Funeral services for Emil E. Gregin will be held on Saturday afternoon, December 12, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Father Adrian Pleus officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral hour.
