Laura Roberts Moody - October 2, 1930 - December 9, 2015

Laura Roberts Moody, formerly of Apalachicola, FL, passed away on

December 9, 2015 in Hiram, GA after a battle with lung

cancer. During the Korean Conflict, Laura served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC).

She is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Cleveland (Alex) Moody, September 2014;

her daughter, C. Lynne Stanford, at age 21; Her brothers, Leonard James Roberts of Roseville, MI and John Scott Nelson of Watertown, NY.

 

She is survived by her son, Marc Yockel and his wife, Darlene of

Hiram; grandsons, Kristopher, Brandon and wife (Ingrid) three

great-grandsons, Jamie, Owen, and Eli Yockel. A special sister-in-law,

Patricia Nelson of Watertown, NY, and three nieces. Not to be

forgotten are the newly found Roberts clan of sister-in-law, nieces,

nephews and cousins of Roseville, MI.

 

A graveside military funeral service will be held at Georgia National

Cemetery in Canton, GA on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 10 AM

Laura’s husband, Cleveland Alexander Moody will also be interred

at the cemetery.
