Mrs. Dawn Martia Hancock Brown, age 56, of Dallas passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 31, 2015.

 

Dawn was born on October 1, 1959 in Hartselle, AL. She worked for several years for K-Mart as a customer service representative and in the shipping department. A Christian, Dawn loved the Lord and was a member of North Paulding Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed writing poetry and was an accomplished author of a poetry book in her lifetime. Dawn deeply loved her family and friends and will always be remembered for her caring nature. She never forgot to send cards to her family on their birthday or on holidays. Dawn was a thoughtful person, full of joy, and her presence will be deeply missed.

 

Dawn is preceded in death by her beloved Aunt Peggy Martin.

 

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Alan Brown of Dallas; 1 son, Justin (Jessica) Wesley of Hiram; 1 daughter, Nora Wesley of Connecticut; 3 grandchildren, Asia Wesley, Malik Wesley, and Zavira Wesley all of Connecticut; several siblings, nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

A memorial service for Dawn will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 7 PM at North Paulding Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Cole officiating. Justin Wesley will give a eulogy in his mother’s honor.

 

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the North Paulding Baptist Church Building Fund at 700 School Road Dallas, GA 30132.
