Funeral Director Posted October 20, 2015 Report Share Posted October 20, 2015 Mrs. Betty Jean Cole, age 93, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday morning, October 19, 2015, at the Presbyterian Village in Austell, GA. Batty was born on February 14, 1922, the daughter of the late Erwin “Pete” Ackman and Mamie Lundburg Ackman. She had been a resident of Dallas for the past 11 years. She was raised in the Lutheran Church, was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mississippi and visited the County Line United Methodist Church locally. Betty was a cheerleader in high school and taught dance lessons in her younger years. She loved dancing, especially clogging and tap dancing, was always the life of the party and had a costume for every holiday of the year. Betty was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Betty Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy A. “Bud” Cole. Betty is survived by four daughters, Cynthia G. Falgout of Wilmington, NC, Sarah Bundrick of Marrero, LA, Betty Carron of Mandeville, LA, and Lori Pertuit of Acworth, GA; one son, David Cole of Houston, TX. Six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members also survive. Betty will be taken to Biloxi, MS, where she will be laid to rest with her husband in the Biloxi National Cemetery in a private ceremony for the family.
