Laura Lee Furlong, age 78, of Villa Rica, GA, former Clayton Resident of 50 years, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was born on December 17, 1936, in Katanue, PA, to the late Sir Clifton & Margaret Wolfe, and was preceded in death by her husband, Gary “Gus” Furlong. Mrs. Furlong retired as a nurse and worked at Clayton General Hospital and Henry General Hospital. She was a member of One Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jeff & Jeannine Furlong of Douglasville, GA, Matt & Shannon Furlong of Greenwood, SC, Gary L. Furlong JR, of California, and Brent Furlong & Nancy Rogers of Cheraw, SC; fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 3 PM, from One Baptist Church, 6800 Cedar Mountain Road, Douglasville, GA, 30134, with Dr. Billy Wood and family & friends officiating. The family will receive friends at One Baptist Church one hour prior to the service.
